Looking for a way to keep your child engaged this summer? Hoping to inspire them to explore the world around them? Join us at the beach for some fun learning! Sea Smart’s summer camps encourage children to explore nature in a safe and fun outdoor environment. From developing scientific skills and identifying cool critters, to conducting research projects - our engaging and friendly Ocean Educators will help them learn about different marine ecosystems and the impact human activity has on them.They’ll walk away with new friends and knowledge, and will be able to help advocate for and protect our ocean so that the next generation can enjoy them, too! We're Hiring: Environmental Educators
Join our team of smart, passionate, and engaging summer camp staff! You’ll work directly with kids, teaching them the basics of marine science through activities and games. Positions available: Site Supervisor, Senior Educator, Junior Educator. Fully on location and outdoors at Kitsilano Beach or Trout Lake Park. Apply by March 31, 2024.
New Workshop: Ocean Design Lab
Ocean Design Lab is an innovative and hands-on program designed to inspire curiosity and passion for ocean conservation. This program will educate participants about the environmental damage caused by bottom trawling. Participants will redesign bottom trawling nets to minimize environmental impact by building and testing prototypes in a friendly competition. We recommend a limit of 30 participants per workshop. The sessions are suitable for schools, youth groups, and corporate clients. Find out more.
